How can we limit the size of or prune the ElectricFlow ec_entity_change table?

We are running ElectricFlow with an external MySQL database. The `ec_entity_change` table is consuming a lot of space on the database server. How can I reduce the space used by this table? Can we delete data older than a certain period?
